Amending a Declaration Acquiring Land for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes in Hauraki District

Pursuant to section 55 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the District Solicitor, Department of Survey and Land Information, Hamilton, amends the declaration dated the 20th day of October 1992, published in the New Zealand Gazette on 22 October 1992, No. 169, page 3478, acquiring land for soil conservation and river control purposes subject to an easement, by deleting all reference to “The Waikato Regional Council” and substituting “the Crown”.

Pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the District Solicitor, Department of Survey and Land Information, Christchurch, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto, is hereby acquired from Michael Kenneth Durie and Kristine Ann Durie (hereinafter called “the owners”), for the supply of electricity together with an easement for a right of way described in the Second Schedule and the right to convey electrical power described in the Third Schedule over the land described in the Fourth Schedule (hereinafter called “the easement strip”), such easements to be held forever appurtenant to the land in the First Schedule and the land and easements shall vest in The Christchurch City Council (hereinafter called “the council”) on the date of publication of this declaration in the Gazette.
