Fisheries Act 1983
The Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Rotational Fishing) Notice (No. 3) 1992 (No. 5191)
Pursuant to section 28ZF of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries hereby makes the following notice:
N o t i c e
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Rotational Fishing) Notice (No. 3) 1992.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the day after its notification in the Gazette.

Interpretation—In this notice any reference to the Southern Scallop Fishery means the fishery described in Part I of Schedule 1D to the Fisheries Act 1983.

Rotational Fishing Areas—No commercial fisherman may take scallops from the following defined areas within the waters of the Southern Scallop Fishery.
Area A:
The area contained by a straight line from the Outer Leading Light at Collingwood (at 40° 40.7’S and 172° 41.0’E) to Bush End Point Light, Farewell Spit (at 40° 32.9’S and 173° 00.6’E) and thence along the high water mark to the Outer Leading Light at Collingwood.
Area C:
The area contained by a straight line from Patons Rock (at 40° 47.3’S and 172° 45.8’E) to Bush End Point Light (at 40° 32.9’S and 173° 00.6’E) to Taupo Point (at 40° 47.4’S and 172° 57.3’E) and thence along the high water mark to Patons Rock.
Areas D, E and F:
The area contained by a straight line commencing from 40° 49’S and 173° 00.9’E to a point in Tasman Bay at 40° 47.7’S and 173° 07.7’E then to a point in Tasman Bay at 41° 02.8’S and 173° 16.1’E, then to the eastern end of Rabbit Island at 41° 17.1’S and 173° 11.8’E and then proceeding in a northeasterly direction to a point at Mapua at 41° 14.9’S and 173° 06.2’E and then back along the high water mark to the point of commencement. Except that during the period 13 November 1992 to 3 December 1992 inclusive scallops may be taken from those waters enclosed by straight lines running from a point at 41° 06.70’S and 173° 09.31’E to a point at 41° 07.52’S and 173° 10.98’E, then to a point at 41° 08.4’S and 173° 09.96’E, then to a point at 41° 07.45’S and 173° 08.41’E and then back to the point of commencement.
Marlborough Sounds:
Those waters of the Southern Scallop Fishery which lie east of longitude 173° 50’E other than those waters enclosed by a straight line from the northernmost point of Nile Head at 40° 43.8’S and 173° 52.3’E to the northernmost point of Cape Stephens at 40° 41.7’S and 173° 57.5’E and the mean high water mark between those points.
- Cancellation of Previous Notice—The Fisheries (Southern Scallop Rotational Fishing) Notice 1992 (No. 5189) is hereby cancelled.

Annual Levy Prescribed Under the Wine Makers Levy Act 1976
Notice (No. 5190; AG 4/54/21)
Pursuant to section 4 (1) of the Wine Makers Levy Act 1976 and on the recommendation of the Wine Institute of New Zealand Incorporated, I hereby prescribe an annual levy of 1 dollar per hectolitre on the grape wine sold by every holder of a grape wine licence during the year ended 30 June 1992.
This notice shall take effect 14 days after the date of publication.
