Traffic Regulations 1976
Approval of Static Lap and Diagonal Seatbelts
Pursuant to regulation 88, subclause (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and in exercise of powers delegated to me, pursuant to section 41 (1) of the State Sector Act 1988, I, Hugh Cameron Matheson, Senior Automotive Engineer, hereby approve, for the purposes of regulation 78A (a) of the said regulations, any vehicle as specified in the Schedule below fitted with static lap and diagonal seatbelts to the outer seating positions. Such seatbelts must comply with an approved standard.
Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, and in exercise of the powers delegated to me, pursuant to section 41 (1) of the State Sector Act 1988, I, Hugh Cameron Matheson, Senior Automotive Engineer, hereby approve, for the purposes of regulation 29 (3) of the said regulations, any vehicle as specified in the Schedule below fitted with static lap and diagonal seatbelts to the outer seating positions. Such seatbelts must comply with an approved standard.
Schedule
(a) Any MA, or MC class motor vehicle; with
(b) A non-permanent structure which extends more than 500 millimetres above the top of the uncompressed seat cushion measured from a point 150 millimetres forward of the lowest point of the back cushion.
Note: Any upper torso seatbelt anchorage fitted must comply with an approved standard.

Transport Act 1962
The Traffic (Waitomo District) Notice No. 1, 1992
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Controller Road and Traffic Standards, give the following notice:
Notice
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waitomo District) Notice No. 1, 1992.
The roads specified in the Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The Traffic (Waitomo County) Notice No. 2, 1972, dated on the 6th day of June 1972, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, is revoked.
Schedule
Situated within Waitomo District at Pio Pio:
No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) from a point 500 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Kea Street to a point 300 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Kaka Street.
Kaka Street: from the No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) to Pio Pio-Waitanguru Road.
Kea Street: from the No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) to Mairoa Road.
Ruru Street: from the No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) to a point 480 metres measured southerly, generally, along Ruru Street from Tui Street.

The Traffic (Far North District) Notice No. 4, 1992
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Controller Road and Traffic Standards, give the following notice:
Notice
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Far North District) Notice No. 4, 1992.
The road specified in the First Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
The Traffic (Hokianga County) Notice No. 1, 1974, dated on the 22nd day of January 1974, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulation 1956, is revoked.

No. 12 State Highway (Ohaeawai-Mangaturuto via Dargaville) from a point 1970 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State highway from Kokohuia Road to a point 2460 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State highway from Kokohuia Road and from a point 800 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said State highway from Kokohuia Road to a point 320 metres measured
