Order for Suspension From Practice

In the matter of the Law Practitioners Act 1982:

Pursuant to section 119 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982,
notice is hereby given that on the 27th day of July 1992, the
New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal ordered
as follows:

1. That the practitioner David James Oliphant, be
   censured.

2. That the practitioner be suspended from practice as a
   barrister and as a solicitor for a period of 18 months
   from the date of this order.

3. That the practitioner shall not practice as a solicitor on
   his own account whether in partnership or otherwise
   until authorised by the Tribunal to do so.

4. That the Tribunal being of the opinion that it is proper
   to do so having regard to the interests of the persons
   concerned and to the public interest, publication of the
   names of any persons other than the practitioner
   mentioned in the proceedings be prohibited.

   expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by this
   Tribunal.

3. That the practitioner pay to the Wellington District Law
   Society the sum of $5,200.00 towards the costs and
   expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by its Council.
