Final Determination and Imposition of Anti-Dumping Duty: Lead Acid Batteries from Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan: Amendment No. 2
Pursuant to section 14 (3A) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), the Minister of Commerce gives the following notice of reassessment of the amount of anti-dumping duty.
N o t i c e
- Title—(1) This notice may be cited as the Final Determination and Imposition of Anti-Dumping Duty: Lead Acid Batteries from Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan: Amendment No. 2, and shall be read with and be part of the notice given for the Minister of Commerce entitled “Final Determination and Imposition of Anti-Dumping Duty: Lead Acid Batteries from Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan” (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”), as amended by the notice given by the Minister of Commerce entitled “Final Determination and Imposition of Anti-Dumping Duty: Lead Acid Batteries from Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan: Amendment No. 1” (hereinafter referred to as “Amendment No. 1”).
(2) This notice shall take effect from 1 August 1992.

Second Schedule to the principal notice substituted—The principal notice (as so amended) is hereby amended by omitting the Second Schedule and substituting the new Second Schedule set out in the Schedule to this notice.

Consequential revocation—Amendment No. 1 is hereby consequentially revoked.

The following anti-dumping duty, expressed as a percentage of the value for duty of the subject goods, shall be charged collected and paid on demand of the Collector, in respect of the subject goods:

Length: 208–260; Width: 170–176; Terminal Height: 190–230.

Explanatory Note
This notice of reassessment reduces the amount of anti-dumping duty payable on imports of batteries manufactured and exported by Chloride Eastern Industries Limited, Singapore for the reason that the company, for shipments after 1 August 1992, has stated that its export prices will exceed the established normal values.
