complaint from Mr Bruce Clements of Auckland that the broadcast by Radio New Zealand Limited of an item on 89FM in Auckland on 19 November 1991 breached the responsibility placed on broadcasters to maintain standards consistent with the observance of good taste and decency.

(xvii) In Decision 33/92, the Authority declined in all the circumstances to determine a complaint from the Group Opposed to Advertising Liquor of Hamilton that the broadcast by TV3 Network Services Limited of an advertisement for DB Export Lager on a number of occasions in February 1992 breached a number of the responsibilities placed on broadcasters about liquor advertisements.

(xviii) In Decision 34/92, the Authority declined to uphold a complaint from Mrs Lindsay Brock of Auckland that the broadcast by Television New Zealand Limited of a music video on Pepsi RTR Top 40 on 18 January 1992 breached the responsibilities placed on broadcasters to take into consideration currently accepted norms of decency and taste in language and behaviour, and to be mindful of the effect of programmes on children.

(xix) In Decision 35/92, the Authority declined to uphold a complaint from the Group Opposed to Advertising of Liquor of Hamilton that the broadcast by Television New Zealand Limited of a Dominion Breweries sponsorship advertisement breached the responsibility placed on broadcasters that liquor sponsorship advertisements should not employ aggressive themes.

(xx) In Decision 36/92, the Authority declined to uphold a complaint from the Group Opposed to Advertising of Liquor of Hamilton that the broadcast by Canterbury Television Limited of a Dominion Breweries advertisement in December 1991 breached the responsibility placed on broadcasters that advertisements shall not be misleading or deceptive.

(xxi) In Decision 37/92, the Authority declined to accept a complaint from the Group Opposed to Advertising of Liquor of Hamilton that advertisements broadcast by Television New Zealand Limited in May 1992 breached the responsibility placed on broadcasters to broadcast advertisements which contained the no-alcohol option message.

(xxii) In Decision 38/92, the Authority declined to uphold a complaint from Mr Cliff Turner of Hamilton that the broadcast by Television New Zealand Limited of an advertisement on 10 March 1992 breached the responsibility placed on broadcasters that advertisements will be clearly distinguishable from other programme material.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Otago Fire Districts Notice 1992.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the 20th day of July 1992.

  3. The notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous Fire District Notices for each of the Fire Districts listed in the Schedule.

Constitution of Fire Districts

  1. The Urban areas of the towns listed in the Schedule are hereby constituted into Fire Districts.

  2. The boundaries of the constituted Fire Districts listed in the Schedule are defined and delineated on plans held at the National Headquarters of the New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.

Revoking Section of State Highway

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that with effect from midnight on the 30th day of June 1992, the section of State highway described in the First Schedule hereto, is revoked.

First Schedule

All of that part of No. 52 State Highway, from the boundary between Central Hawke's Bay District and Tararua District at Route Position 44/15.28 north of Wimbledon to the boundary between Tararua District and Masterton District at Route Position 157/12.61 north of Dreyers Rock.
