Transit New Zealand Act 1989
Revoking Sections of State Highways and Declaring New Section of State Highway
Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that, with effect from midnight on 30 June 1991, those sections of State highways described in the First Schedule hereto are revoked; and the section of highway described in the Second Schedule hereto is declared to be a State highway within the meaning and for the purposes of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989.
First Schedule
All of No. 18 State Highway, from its junction with No. 16 State Highway at Brighams Creek to its junction with No. 1 State Highway at Albany.
All of that part of No. 22 State Highway, from its junction with the Onehunga Road at Route Position 29/0.50 to its junction with No. 23 State Highway at Te Uku.
All of that part of No. 30 State Highway, from its junction with the Whakamaru Road to Tokoroa at Route Position 85/0.43 through to its junction with No. 1 State Highway at Atiamuri at Route Position 85/20.25.
All of No. 36 State Highway, from its junction with No. 2 State Highway near Gisborne to its junction with No. 38 State Highway at Frasertown.
All of that part of No. 38 State Highway, from the boundary between Whakatane and Wairoa Districts at Reference Station 101 at Huiarau Summit to the Aniwaniwa Stream Bridge adjoining Lake Waikaremoana at Reference Station 131.
All of that part of No. 40 State Highway, from the boundary between New Plymouth District and Ruapehu District at Route Position 25/3.05 through to its junction with No. 4 State Highway at Mangaotupoto.
All of that part of No. 43 State Highway, from its junction with River Road, Tatu, at Reference Station III through to its junction with No. 40 State Highway in Ohura.
All of that part of No. 49 State Highway, from its junction with No. 4 State Highway at Raetihi through to its junction with No. 49A State Highway at Ohakune.

All of that part of No. 67 State Highway, from 20 metres north of De Malmanche Road at Route Position 46/5.40 through to the present terminal point of the highway in Karamea at Reference Station 103.
All of that part of No. 70 State Highway, from its junction with No. 1 State Highway at the Kowhai River Bridge south of Kaikoura through to the junction with the Leader-Waiau Road in Waiau township at Route Position 72/6.69.
All of those parts of No. 72 State Highway, from its junction with No. 1 State Highway at Woodend through to its junction with No. 73 State Highway in Waddington at Reference Station 59, and from its intersection with the Waimarama/McLeans Bush Roads at Route Position 105/5.45 through to its junction with No. 1 State Highway at Winchester.

All of No. 91 State Highway, from its junction with No. 1 State Highway in Balclutha through to its current terminal point in Kaitangata at Route Position 0/12.36.
All of No. 92 State Highway, from its junction with No. 1 State Highway in Balclutha through to its junction with No. 1 State Highway in Invercargill City.
All of that part of No. 96 State Highway, from Route Position 84/9.54 at the Post Office in Ohai through to Route Position 116/7.22 at the junction with the Manapouri/Te Anau Road at Clifden.
Second Schedule
No. 79 State Highway to include all of that part of the revoked No. 72 State Highway, from the junction with No. 79 State Highway at the Upper Orai Bridge, through to the junction with No. 79 State Highway at the Geraldine Post Office.
