Gas Safety Requirements (Specifications for Reticulated Natural Gas) Notice 1991

Pursuant to section 60 of the Gas Act 1982 and to regulations 6 and 37 of the Gas Industry Regulations 1984, the Chief Inspecting Engineer gives the following notice.

Notice

Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Gas Safety Requirements (Specifications for Reticulated Natural Gas) Notice 1991.

(2) This notice shall come into force 28 days after the date on which it is published in the Gazette.

General approval for NZS 5442:1990—New Zealand Standard 5442:1990, entitled “Specification for Reticulated Natural Gas”, is hereby generally approved in relation to the quality of reticulated natural gas, for the purposes of the safe supply and use of that gas.

Dated at Wellington this 6th day of March 1991.

Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the notice but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice, which comes into force 28 days after the date on which it is published in the Gazette, gives general approval for NZS 5442:1990 (Specification for Reticulated Natural Gas) in relation to the quality of reticulated natural gas.
