Education Act 1989

Appointment of Commissioner

Pursuant to section 107 (2) of the Education Act 1989, and the direction of the Minister of Education dated 22 January 1991, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 31 January 1991, page 325, I hereby appoint

John Snell as Commissioner

to act in place of the dissolved Maungatapere Primary School Board of Trustees.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

St Oran’s College, Lower Hutt (Attendance Dues) Notice 1991

Pursuant to section 36 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, the Minister of Education hereby gives notice approving the charging of attendance dues at St Oran’s College, Lower Hutt.

Notice

This notice shall be cited as the St Oran’s College (Attendance Dues) Notice 1991.
The proprietor of the above-named school may enter into an agreement with the parents of or other persons accepting responsibility for the education of a child at the above named school requiring them to pay attendance dues.
The attendance dues payable in respect of any pupil shall be $1500 plus GST per annum.
Attendance dues received by the proprietor shall be used for the purpose of paying for such improvements to, or for such capital works associated with, the buildings and associated facilities of the above-mentioned integrated school as may be required or approved by the Minister of Education pursuant to section 40 (2) of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, or for meeting debts, mortgages, liens, or other charges associated with any of the land and buildings that constitute the integrated school.

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen acting through the Manager, District Operations, Central West Wanganui, Ministry of Education pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:
