NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

After consideration of submissions, and after the outcome of consultations with such persons as may be affected by the amendment, the Secretary intends to apply for the approval of the Minister of Energy to the resulting amendment to NZECP3:1989.

Copies of notes for commentators relating to the standards are available from the office of the Chief Electrical Inspector, Energy and Resources Division, Ministry of Commerce, P.O. Box 2337, Wellington.

All submissions should be made by the 29th day of March 1991.

Engineering Associates Act 1961

Removal of Member’s Name from Register

Notice is hereby given that the Engineering Associates Registration Board, acting pursuant to section 18 (1) of the Engineering Associates Act 1961 ("the Act"), caused the name of Rodney Maurice Brown to be removed from the register of the Board with effect from 15 January 1991, on the grounds that the said Rodney Maurice Brown is a person not entitled to be registered under the Act who has been so registered.

Radiocommunications Act 1989

Statement of Government Policy and Directions to Secretary of Commerce

To the Secretary of Commerce.

I, Maurice Donald Williamson, Minister of Communications, acting pursuant to section 112 of the Radiocommunications Act 1989 ("the Act"), and pursuant to the policies of Government communicated to you in the Statement of Government Policy and Directions to Secretary of Commerce dated 30 November 1990, and published in the Gazette of 6 December 1990 at page 4581, hereby direct you as follows:

Notwithstanding paragraph (d) of the directions contained in the Statement of Government Policy and Directions to Secretary of Commerce dated 30 November 1990, you may grant radio apparatus licences to Telecom Corporation of New Zealand Limited ("Telecom") in relation to the ranges of frequencies 825.015 MHz to 835.005 MHz and 870.015 MHz to 880.005 MHz. Subject to the registration of management rights under Part II of the Radiocommunications Act 1989, every radio apparatus licence so granted shall expire on 30 June 1991, or, where Telecom can practically cease operations on those frequencies by an earlier date, that earlier date.

Pursuant to clause 9, Sixth Schedule of the Education Act 1989, the parent election of the members of the Rudolf Steiner School Board of Trustees, Hastings, that was held on the 7th day of December 1990, is hereby declared to be and always to have been valid as it would have been if it had been held on a day following the publication of this notice.

This notice comes into force on the day of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
