Pursuant to section 24 (1) of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order

  1. Title and commencementβ€”(1) This order may be cited as The Puahue Cemetery Order 1991.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of March 1992.

  1. Delegation of powersβ€”The powers conferred on the Governor-General by subsections (1) and (2) of section 23 of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, so far as they are exercisable in respect of the Puahue Cemetery (being the land described in the Schedule to this order), are hereby delegated to The Waipa District Council.

All that parcel of land containing 0.7081 hectares, more or less, situated in Block VIII, Puniua Survey District, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 29094, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 728, folio 252 (Auckland Registry).

Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 March 1992, delegates to the Waipa District Council the power to appoint and remove trustees of the Puahue Cemetery.
