The Traffic (Gore District) Notice No. 2, 1991

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Controller Road and Traffic Standards, give the following notice:

Notice

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Gore District) Notice No. 2, 1991.

The roads specified in the Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The Traffic (Southland County) Notice No. 2, 1975, dated on the 13th day of June 1975*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, is revoked.

Schedule

Situated within Gore District at Pukerau:

East Street.

Middle Street.

Pukerau Street.

Taylor Street: From the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 50 metres measured westerly, generally, along the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) from Middle Street.

West Street: From the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 50 metres measured westerly, generally, along the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) from Middle Street.

Situated within Gore District at Waikaka:

Dungannon Street.

Foyle Street.

Galway Street.

Lurgan Street.

Main Street: From a point 50 metres measured northerly, generally, along Main Street from Newry Road to a point 50 metres measured southerly, generally, along Main Street from Lurgan Street.

Newry Street: From Main Street to a point 180 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along Newry Street from Main Street.

Matheson Road: From Willowbank-Waikaka Road to Shepherd’s Creek Bridge.

Tapanui Road.

Ulster Street.

Kaingaroa Rural Fire District Notice 1991

Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice.

Notice

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Kaingaroa Rural Fire District Notice 1991.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires, “the Act” means the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977; “the Committee” means the Kaingaroa Rural Fire Committee; “the District” means the Kaingaroa Rural Fire District.

  2. This notice revokes and is in substitution for the Kaingaroa Rural Fire District Notice 1948 (a) and all amendments thereto.

Constitution of the Kaingaroa Rural Fire District

  1. The areas specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby constituted and declared to be a rural fire district to be known as the Kaingaroa Rural Fire District.

  2. The Kaingaroa Rural Fire District shall be administered for the purpose of the Act by a rural fire committee known as the Kaingaroa Rural Fire Committee.

  3. The Committee shall consist of thirteen members as follows:

(1) Six persons appointed by the Forestry Corporation of New Zealand Limited, in writing, signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof; and

(2) One person appointed by the Tasman Forestry Limited, in writing, signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof; and

(3) One person appointed by the Rotorua District Council, in writing, signed on behalf of the Council by the Chief Executive and the secretary thereof; and

(4) One person appointed, in writing, by the Chief Executive of the New Zealand Fire Service; and

(5) One person appointed, in writing, by the Director-General of the Department of Conservation; and

(6) One person appointed by P.F. Olsen and Company Limited, in writing, signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof; and

(7) One person appointed, in writing, by the Secretary of the Ministry of Forestry; and

(8) One person appointed by the Federated Farmers of New Zealand Incorporated, in writing, signed by the Chairman and secretary thereof.

  1. The period between the 1st day of October in any one year and the 30th day of April in the following year (both days inclusive) is hereby declared to be a restricted fire season in the district.
