Maori Land Development Notice

Pursuant to section 21 of the Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989, the General Manager of the Iwi Transition Agency hereby gives notice as follows:

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Hamilton 1991, No. 32.

2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked by omitting all reference to those lands described in the Second Schedule hereto.

3. The lands described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part II of the Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.

Maori Affairs Act 1953

Redefining Purposes of Maori Reservation

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 439 (5) (c) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the purposes for which the Maori reservation was, in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto, created by notice dated 23 February 1939, published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 11, page 272, are hereby redefined as a meeting place and papakainga for the common use of the members of the Wainui-a-rua tribe and visiting members of the Wanganui, Waikato and other tribes.

Including Land in a Maori Reservation

Whereas by notice in the New Zealand Gazette, 27 November 1986, No. 189, page 5083, the land described in the First Schedule hereto was set apart as a Maori Reservation for the purpose of a meeting place and recreation ground for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Tukorehe, Ngati Kapu and Te Mateawa tribes, and whereas it is now desired to extend the reservation to include the land described in the Second Schedule hereto; now therefore, pursuant to section 439 (2) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 it is hereby declared that the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby included in the aforesaid Maori Reservation.
