"(iv) In the area known as Troutlands Holiday Park sanctuary, at Kurow, more particularly marked by notices at the upstream and downstream boundaries."

  1. Authorised tackle—Clause 5 of the principal notice is amended by:
    (1) Repealing paragraph (a) of subclause (5) and substituting with:

"(a) Subject to subsections (6) (d) and (6) (e), more than 2 lures or baits."

(2) Omitting from paragraph (b) of subclause (6) the word "Alexandra".

(3) Amending paragraph (d) of subclause (6) by inserting the word "or" between ‘Rangitata’ and ‘Orai’, and omitting the words "or Opihi".

(4) Amending paragraph (e) of subclause (6) by inserting the word "or" between ‘Rangitata’ and ‘Orai’, and omitting the words "or Opihi".

(5) Paragraphs (f) and (g) of subclause (6) of the principal notice are renumbered as paragraphs (g) and (h) respectively.

(6) Inserting as paragraph (f) of subclause (6),

"Cast other than from the reel or retrieve the line other than by winding the reel, from the 1st day of January to the 30th day of April in the same year, in the Opihi River or its tributaries, when using anything other than artificial fly or natural bait, or more than one bait when any weight is attached, or more than one hook (single or multiple) or any hook with a gape greater than 13mm".

  1. Authorised lures and baits—Paragraph (h) of subclause (2) of clause 9 is amended by substituting in the two instances that it appears the word "Waio" with the correct spelling of "Waiho".

  2. Daily Limit Bag—(1) Paragraph (b) (i) of subclause (2) of clause 10 is amended by adding after the word "McGregor" the words "and Ruataniwha, including Wairepo Arm and Kelliands Pond;".

(2) Paragraph (b) (iii) of subclause (2) of clause 10 is repealed and replaced with:

"(b) (ii) Rivers—South Ashburton and tributaries upstream from Blowing Point Bridge, Rangitata and tributaries upstream from the point known as Red Rocks Bluff, Mary Burn, Macauley, Greys, Irishmans, Forks, Hopkins, Dobson, Lower Ahuriri and tributaries, Twizel, Fraser, Lower Ohau River (a tributary of Lake Aviemore), Hakataramea and tributaries, Lower Maerewhenua, Waiarakura, Lower Kakanui and tributaries, and Lower Waitaki and tributaries".

  1. Experimental winter season—Clause 12 of the principal notice is amended by omitting the figure "1991" in the two instances that it appears and substituting the figure "1992" in both instances.

District Anglers (Otago Fish and Game Region) Notice 1991

Pursuant to section 26A of the Conservation Act 1987 (as amended by section 17 of the Conservation Law Reform Act 1990), the Otago Fish and Game Council hereby gives the following District Anglers Notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the District Anglers (Otago Fish and Game Region) Notice 1991 and shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1991.

  2. Interpretation—Words and expressions in this notice which are defined in the Conservation Act 1987, or the Freshwater Fisheries Regulations 1983, shall have the meanings so defined.

  3. Open season—(1) Subject to the provisions of this notice, fishing for sports fish is permitted 24 hours per day in the season and specified waters as listed in this clause. An open season commences on the date first shown in any year and ends on the date second shown in the following year (both days inclusive).

(a) Season: 1 October to 30 April:

Specified waters: Those waters NOT specified in 3 (b) to 3 (f) below (inclusive) Nor in clause 4.

(b) Season: 1 October to 30 September:

Specified waters: Butchers Dam;
Callums River, downstream from the State Highway 92 road bridge;
Clutha River, downstream from Albert Town bridge;
Coalpit Dam;
Conroys Dam;
Diamond Lake;
Hawea River;
Hoffmans Dam;
Kawarau River;
Lake Dunstan;
Lake Hayes;
Lake Hawea;
Lake Onslow;
Lake Roxburgh;
Lake Waihola, including the waterways connecting this lake to lake Waihola and east on waterways to the confluence with the Taieri River;
Lake Waihola;
Lake Wakatipu;
Lake Wanaka;
Lake Wanaka Outlet, source of the Clutha river lying downstream between a point indicated by a post landmark on both banks approximately 600 metres from the outlet of Lake Wanaka;
Moke Lake;
Molyneux Pond;
Owaka River, downstream from the Pounawai/Newhaven road bridge;
Phoenix Dam;
Poolburn Dam;
Puerua Estuary, downstream from the State Highway 92 bridge;
Reid Lake;
Sarita Pond;
Shag River, downstream from the State Highway 1 road bridge;
Taieri River, downstream from the road bridge at Allanton;
Tahakopa River, downstream from the Maclennan River confluence;
Tokomairiro River, downstream from Coal Gully road bridge;
Tomahawk Lagoon;
Waikouaiti River, downstream from the State Highway 1 road bridge;
Waitati River, downstream from the Doctors Point Road bridge;
Water of Leith, downstream from the Anzac Avenue bridge.

(c) Season: 1 November to 30 April

Specified waters: Those rivers and streams flowing into Lake Mahinerangi.

(d) Season: 1 December to 31 May

Specified waters: Lochy River;
Timaru Creek;
Von River and Lakes;
