Revoking Sections of State Highway and Declaring New Section of State Highway

In the notice with the above heading, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 27 June 1991, No. 96, page 2121, under the subheading “First Schedule”, paragraph 2, line 2, delete “29/0/.50” and replace with “29/0.50”. In paragraph 7, line 2, delete “III” and replace with “111”.

Transport Act 1962

The Traffic (Waikato District) Notice No. 3, 1991

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Controller Road and Traffic Standards, give the following notice:

Notice

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waikato District) Notice No. 3, 1991.

The area specified in the First Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

First Schedule

Situated within Waikato District at Whatawhata:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the south-eastern side of Te Kowhai Road at its intersection with the northern side of Mason Road; thence south-westerly, generally, along the south-eastern side of Te Kowhai Road to its intersection with the northern side of No. 23 State Highway (Hamilton-Raglan); thence to a point 400 metres measured easterly, generally, along the northern side of the said State highway from the said intersection; thence northerly, generally, by a right line to the commencing point.

Second Schedule

Situated within Waikato District at Whatawhata:

Te Kowhai Road: from No. 23 State Highway (Hamilton-Raglan) to a point 1100 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from the said State highway.

The Traffic (Whakatane District) Notice No. 2, 1991

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Controller Road and Traffic Standards, give the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whakatane District) Notice No. 2, 1991.

The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Whakatane District) Notice No. 2, 1985, signed on the 24th day of July 1985*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, is revoked.

So much of the Traffic (Whakatane District) Notice No. 1, 1990, signed on the 12th day of June 1990†, which relates to the roads in the Schedules below issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, is revoked.

First Schedule

Situated within Whakatane District at Edgecumbe:

Awakeri Road: from Main Street to a point 100 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along Awakeri Road from East Bank Road.

Bridge Street: from Main Street to a point 20 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along Bridge Street from Puriri Crescent.

College Road: from Bridge Street to a point 220 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along College Road from Soldiers Road.

East Bank Road: from Awakeri Road to a point 100 metres measured northerly, generally, along East Bank Road from Awakeri Road.

Hinau Place.

Hydro Road: from Awakeri Road to a point 70 metres
