Conservation Act 1987

Declaration that a Marginal Strip is Not Required

Pursuant to section 24b of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby declares that the marginal strip requirements set out in section 24 of the Act, shall not apply in the case of the disposition of the land in the schedule hereto.

Land Act 1948

Reservation of Land

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Conservation, with the consent of the Minister of Lands, hereby sets apart the land, described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the Reserves Act 1977.

Reserves Act 1977

Classification of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Canterbury hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Revocation of Appointment to Control and Manage a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, West Coast Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby revokes the appointment of the Canterbury Regional Group of the Youth Hostels Association of New Zealand Incorporated to control and manage a reserve as a site for a youth hostel and holiday camp, described in the Schedule hereto.
