Forest Disease Control Regulations 1967

Declaration of Infected Area

Pursuant to regulation 4 (1) of the Forest Disease Control Regulations 1967, and to a delegation from the Secretary of Forestry, I, John Tilby Lewis, an authorised forestry officer, acting with the approval of the Minister of Forestry, hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto, to be an infected area in respect of the disease Scolytus multistriatus in association with Ceratocystis ulmi (commonly known as Dutch Elm Disease), which attacks the Ulmus and Zelkova species (Elm family).

Note:

The effect of this declaration is that no person may, without the written consent of an authorised forestry officer, and subject to such conditions as he thinks fit, remove, or cause to be removed, any forest produce of the Ulmus and Zelkova species (Elm family) (except seedlings) from the area described in the Schedule, or likewise move that forest produce from one place to another within that area. Any forest produce of the above species treated in accordance with written specifications of an authorised forestry officer is not affected by the above declaration. This declaration comes into effect on its first publication in a newspaper circulating in the area. Any person wishing to make an inquiry about moving material from an Elm tree into, out of, or within the greater Auckland area, should contact the Regional Manager, Ministry of Forestry, Auckland.

Alcohol and Drug Unit Specified as a Place at Which Controlled Drugs may be Prescribed, Administered or Supplied for the Purpose of Treating Persons Dependent on Controlled Drugs

Notice is hereby given that the Minister of Health, pursuant to section 24 (5) (b) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, has specified the Wanganui Area Health Board Alcohol and Drug Unit as a place at which controlled drugs may be prescribed, administered or supplied for the purpose of treating persons dependent on controlled drugs.
