Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session

Marion Ann Brown, Registered Psychopaedic Nurse

In exercise of its powers under section 42 (1) (a), 42 (2) (d), 42 (3), and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand after due inquiry on 12 July 1990 ordered that Marion Ann Brown be censured; that she pay $500 (or 25 percent of costs whichever is the lesser) toward the cost and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the council; that a notice stating the effect of the order be published in the Gazette, the New Zealand Nursing Journal, and the Christchurch Press.

Irene Margaret Denford, Registered General and Obstetric Nurse

In exercise of its powers under section 42 (1) (b), 42 (2) (d), 42 (2) (c), 42 (3), and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand after due inquiry on 12 July 1990 found Irene Margaret Denford guilty of professional misconduct and ordered that she be censured; that she be fined $500; that she pay $300 (or 25 percent of costs whichever is the lesser) toward the cost and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the council; that a notice stating the effect of the order be published in the Gazette, and the New Zealand Nursing Journal.
