Proposed Cancellation of Registration of Employers Organisation for Failure to Make Annual Return
Pursuant to section 32 (2) of the Labour Relations Act 1987, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Wellington Furniture and Furnishing Trade Organisation of Employers Registered No. 2/14, situated at Wellington, will be cancelled on the expiration of 30 days from the day after the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless a full and correct return in accordance with section 52 of this Act is delivered to the Registrar.

International Air Services Licensing Act 1947
Notice of Intention to Amend an International Air Service Licence
Notice is hereby given that I intend to exercise the power conferred on me by section 14 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, to amend the terms of the International Air Service Licence issued to Polynesian Airlines Holdings Ltd. to allow the airline to operate services over the following routes:
(1) Points in Western Samoa, optionally via Niue and/or Tonga, to Auckland and optionally beyond to Sydney; and
(2) Points in Western Samoa, optionally via Fiji, to Auckland.
Provided that, on the Auckland-Sydney sector, there may be only 1 B727 return service per week.
This amendment will take effect on the 1st day of September 1990.

Traffic Regulations 1976
Approval of the Fitting of Scene Lamps on Motor Vehicles
Pursuant to regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Hugh Cameron Matheson, Senior Automotive Engineer, hereby approve, for the purposes of regulation 65, the fitting and use of lamps of a specified type on motor vehicles as specified in the Schedule hereto and subject to the conditions in the Schedule.
Schedule
Scene lamps in the form of steady burning lamps the purpose of which is to aid static vehicle operation by way of illumination of the immediate work scene.
Conditions
A heavy goods vehicle, fork lift, or specialist vehicle may be fitted with up to 2 lamps; an ambulance or fire appliance with up to 4 lamps, in addition to its normal operating lamps provided that the lamp(s):
(i) Emit a dispersed pattern of light, i.e., flood-light or the like;
(ii) Are dipped or shrouded so that they are not directly visible from outside a 10 metre radius around the lamps;
(iii) Are not operated whilst the vehicle is in transit on public roads. Where possible the installation should be wired in such a way that operation of the scene lamps is prevented whilst in transit; and
(iv) A warning lamp be fitted in the vehicle's cab, readily visible by the driver, which is illuminated when the scene lamps are in use.

Approval of the Fitting and Use of Cornering Lamps on Motor Vehicles
Pursuant to regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Hugh Cameron Matheson, Senior Automotive Engineer, hereby approve, for the purposes of regulation 65, the fitting and use of lamps of a specified type to motor vehicles as specified in the Schedule hereto and subject to the conditions in the Schedule.
Schedule
Cornering lamps in the form of steady burning lamps used in conjunction with the direction indicator lamp system to supplement the head lamps by providing additional illumination in the direction of the turn.
Conditions
A motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle or trailer, may be fitted with 2 cornering lamps fitted at the front corners of the vehicle provided that the lamps:
(i) Are mounted at a height not greater than that of the head lamps;
(ii) Operate only whilst the head lamps are in use;
(iii) Operate only in conjunction with the respective direction indicator lamp;
(iv) Emit only white or amber light;
(v) Are set in a permanently dipped position;
(vi) Are not visible from the rear;
(vii) Do not flash; and
(viii) Comply to SAE J852, ADR 45/00 or other standard for cornering lamps as the Secretary from time to time determines by notice in the Gazette.

Approval of the Fitting and Use of Lights of a Specified Type on Specified Fire Appliances
Pursuant to regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purpose of regulation 67, subclause (8) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, of the fitting and use of 1 and not more than 2 lights of a specified type on the class of motor vehicle specified in the Schedule hereto and subject to the conditions in the Schedule.
Schedule
Scene lights in the form of spotlamps/floodlamps mounted at the rear of, and on each side of the roof mounted foam monitor, on Trident Airport Rescue Fire Appliances.
