(a) Approvals, restricted as to use
The articles listed hereunder are approved under Reference 90 if the Collector at the port of admission is satisfied from evidence produced to him that they are ordered by or on behalf of the authorities of an institutional place of worship (including the chapels of hospitals, orphanages, religious communities, and the like) for installation therein.
- Altar bells
- Altar candlesticks and candelabra
- Church bells including electronic church bells
- Figures less than 25 cm in length for crucifixes
- Organs, including seats and amplifying apparatus (tone cabinets) imported therewith excluding those classified in Tariff Item 9207.10.01
- Statues of religious subjects less than 60cm in height
(b) Exclusions
Articles imported for installation outside the precincts of a place of worship, for installation in a dwelling
