ORDER IN COUNCIL

At Wellington this 18th day of December 1989

Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Lake Taupo Rural Fire District Order 1974, Amendment No. 4 and shall be read together with and deemed part of this order constituting the Lake Taupo Rural Fire District Order made on the 1st day of April 1974 (a) (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

(2) This order shall come into force on the 28th day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. The principal order is amended by clause 5 of the Rural Fire Districts Order 1988* (b) is hereby amended by revoking clause 6 of the principal order and substituting the following clause:

"6. (1) The district shall be administered for the purposes of the Act by a rural fire committee known as the Lake Taupo Rural Fire Committee.

(2) The Lake Taupo Rural Fire Committee shall consist of 4 members as follows:

(a) One person appointed by the Trustees of the Lake Taupo Forest Lease dated 5 June 1969;

(b) One person appointed by the Secretary of Justice;

(c) Two persons appointed by the Secretary of Forestry."

  1. This clause shall be read with and be deemed part of the principal order.

Explanatory Note

This Order in Council amends the Lake Taupo Rural Fire District Order 1974, by providing that the district shall be administered by a rural fire committee comprising 4 members.

Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Pouto Rural Fire District Order 1976, Amendment No. 4, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the order constituting the Pouto Rural Fire District Order 1976 made on the 20th day of December 1976 (a) (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

(2) This order shall come into force on the 28th day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. The principal order is hereby amended by revoking clause 6 of the principal order as substituted by the Pouto Rural Fire District Order 1976, Amendment No. 3, and substituting the following clause:

"6. (1) The district shall be administered for the purposes of the Act by a rural fire committee known as the Pouto Rural Fire Committee.

(2) The Pouto Rural Fire Committee shall consist of 8 members as follows:

(a) One person appointed by Pouto Forest Farms Limited by writing signed on behalf of that company by 1 director and 1 secretary thereof;

(b) One person appointed by Tai Tokerau Forests Limited by writing signed on behalf of that company by 1 director and 1 secretary thereof;

(c) One person appointed by New Zealand Timberlands Limited by writing signed on behalf of that company by 1 director and 1 secretary thereof;

(d) One person appointed by Land Corporation Limited by writing signed on behalf of that company by 1 director and 1 secretary thereof;

(e) One person appointed by the Director-General of Conservation;

(f) One person appointed by the Secretary of Forestry;

(g) Two persons residing within the district and appointed by the Hobson County Council."

(3) This clause shall be read together with and be deemed part of the principal order.

Lake Taupo Prohibition of Launching and Hauling Out Notice 1989

Pursuant to regulation 11 of the Lake Taupo Regulations 1976 the Secretary for Local Government hereby makes the following notice:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Lake Taupo Prohibition of Launching and Hauling Out Notice 1989.

  2. The launching and hauling out of any craft in the area described in the Schedule to this notice is hereby prohibited on:

  • from 12 noon on the 31st day of January 1990 to 2 p.m. on the 3rd day of February 1990 and
  • from 12 noon on the 9th day of February 1990 to 12 noon on the 12th day of February 1990.
