The Nelson Polytechnic Amendment Notice 1989
Pursuant to section 69 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice:
Notice
- (1) This notice shall be cited as the Nelson Polytechnic Amendment Notice 1989 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Nelson Polytechnic Notice 1983* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).
(2) This notice shall come into force on the day of its publication in the Gazette.
- Clause 3 of the principal notice is hereby amended by revoking paragraph (l) and substituting the following paragraph:
(l) Not more than 6 members to be co-opted by the Council itself, and if and when it thinks fit.
- Clause 3 of the principal notice is hereby amended by revoking subparagraph (ii) of clause 3 (k) (ii) and substituting the following subparagraph:
(ii) The member appointed pursuant to subparagraph (i) of this paragraph shall hold office until the 1st day of December 1990 and if on that date the appointment of a successor has not been notified to the Council, that member shall continue to hold office until the date on which that appointment is notified.
- Clause 4 (3) (b) of the principal notice is hereby amended by revoking paragraphs (a), (b), and (c) and substituting the following paragraphs:
(a) The 4 members appointed pursuant to clause 3 (a), (b), (c) and (d) and the 2 members elected pursuant to clause 3 (h) of this notice shall hold office until the 1st day of December 1990.
(b) The 2 members appointed pursuant to clause 3 (e) and (f) and the 2 members elected pursuant to clause 3 (g) and (j) of this notice shall hold office until the 31st day of May 1991.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975
Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975
Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that an integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education and the Proprietor of the following school:
St Peter’s School, Cambridge.
The said supplementary integration agreement came into effect on 8 May 1989. Copies of the supplementary integration agreement are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the Department of Education, Head Office, National Mutual Buildings, Featherston Street, Wellington, and at regional offices.

School Trustees Act 1989
The St Joseph’s School, Oamaru, Board of Trustees Election Invalidation Notice 1989
Pursuant to clause 9, Second Schedule of the School Trustees Act 1989, the staff election of a member of the St Joseph’s School, Oamaru, Board of Trustees, in view of the fact that one voter was not eligible to vote under section 5 (4) of the School Trustees Act 1989, and notwithstanding that it was held as required by section 11 (8) of the School Trustees Act 1989 on the 24th day of April 1989, is hereby invalidated.
A new staff election is required to be held on the 17th day of July 1989.
This notice comes into force on the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

The Kenmure Intermediate School, Board of Trustees Election Invalidation Notice 1989
Pursuant to clause 9, Second Schedule of the School Trustees Act 1989, the staff election of a member of the Kenmure Intermediate School, Dunedin, Board of Trustees, in view of the uncertainty as to whether all voting papers returned were those issued by the returning officer, and notwithstanding that it was held as required by section 11 (8) of the School Trustees Act 1989 on the 24th day of April 1989, is hereby invalidated.
A new staff election is required to be held on the 17th day of July 1989.
This notice comes into force on the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

The Ross Intermediate School, Board of Trustees Election Validation Notice 1989
Pursuant to clause 9, Second Schedule of the School Trustees Act 1989, the parent election of the members of the Ross Intermediate School, Palmerston North, Board of Trustees that was held on the 29th day of April 1989 is hereby declared to be and always to have been as valid as it would have been if—
(a) the returning officer had not counted the votes on the 4th day of May 1989; and
(b) the returning officer had not declared the results immediately following that count.
This notice comes into force on the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

The Murchison Area School Board of Trustees Election Validation Notice 1989
Pursuant to clause 9, Second Schedule of the School Trustees Act 1989, the parent election of the members of the Murchison Area School Board of Trustees that was held on the 29th day of April 1989 is hereby declared to be and always to have been as valid as it would have been if voting papers had not been issued with envelopes omitting the words “Voting Paper”.
This notice comes into force on the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
