for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

Notice

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Mount Maunganui Borough) Notice No. 1, 1989.

The roads specified in the First Schedule are excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Mount Maunganui Borough) Notice No. 1, 1981, dated on the 29th day of April 1981*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, is revoked.

First Schedule

Situated within Mount Maunganui Borough:

No. 29 State Highway (Mount Maunganui-Piarere): all that length of the said State highway within Mount Maunganui Borough.

Maunganui Road: from Kupe Street to the No. 29 State Highway (Mount Maunganui-Piarere).

Totara Street: from the No. 29 State Highway (Mount Maunganui-Piarere) to Rata Street.

Second Schedule

Situated within Mount Maunganui Borough:

No. 29 State Highway (Mount Maunganui-Piarere): from the western boundary of Mount Maunganui Borough to a point 120 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Exeter Street.

Maunganui Road: from Kupe Street to the No. 29 State Highway (Mount Maunganui-Piarere).

Totara Street: from the No. 29 State Highway (Mount Maunganui-Piarere) to Rata Street.

Take notice that pursuant to section 141 (2) of the Transport Act 1962, the No. 2 Transport District Licensing Authority (J. M. Foster), will hold a public inquiry at the direction of the Minister of Transport the Honourable W. P. Jeffries to inquire into the manner of operation of Goods Service licence No. 15378.

The inquiry will be held in Hearing Room 8.2, Tribunals Division, Eighth Floor, District Court Building, Kingston Street, Auckland on 29 May 1989, commencing at 10 a.m. and will continue as required.
