Appointment of Hurunui County Council to Have Control and Management of Balcairn Cemetery

Notice

1. Pursuant to section 23 (3) of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, I, Paul Alfred Reeves, Governor-General, hereby appoint the Hurunui County Council to have the control and management of the Balcairn Cemetery, being the land described in the Schedule to this notice, from 1 May 1989.

2. The notice appointing the Hurunui County Council to have control and management of Balcairn Cemetery as from 1 November 1987, and appearing in the New Zealand Gazette, 22 October 1987, No. 184, page 4831, is revoked from 1 May 1989.

Schedule

All those pieces of land containing together:

1102 square metres, more or less, being part Rural Section 5796, Block XVI, Grey Survey District, and being all the land shown in blue on Survey Plan 10472, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title 12K/578 (Christchurch Registry); and

2605 square metres, more or less, being part Rural Sections 4623 and 5796, Block XVI, Grey Survey District, and being all the land shown in blue on Survey Plan 10472, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title 12K/578 (Christchurch Registry); and

2.4281 hectares, more or less, being part Rural Section 5796, Block XVI, Grey Survey District, and being all the land described in certificate of title 398/257 (Christchurch Registry).
