Gas Act 1982

Notice as Required by Gas Act of Franchise Transfer

Pursuant to section 31 of the Gas Act 1982, descriptions of the areas of the franchises transferred to Natural Gas Waikato Ltd., are hereby furnished.

All that area, of the franchise of the Hamilton City Council, granted by the Minister of Energy in December 1983, being that within a radius of 16 kilometres from the Chief Post Office, Victoria Street, Hamilton and that area between the above and the Huntly Borough supplied by the Hamilton City Council, joint venture defined in the New Zealand Gazette, dated 6 October 1983, No. 165, page 3337. The area being bounded on the west side by a direct line from the intersection of the 16 km radius and Whatawhata Road and the 8 km radius and Gunn Road and on the east side by a direct line from the intersection of the 16 km radius and Holland Road and the 8 km radius and P.O. access road except for a segment to the east of Hamilton from a direct line drawn from the intersection of Holland and Palko Roads to the intersection of the Maunga and Woodside Roads and from Maunga/Woodside intersection to the intersection of Forrest and Hooker Roads;

All that area, of the Waikato franchise of the Natural Gas Corporation, granted by the Minister of Energy on 5 June 1984, covering all that area in the counties of Waikato, Matamata, Waipa, Otorohanga plus Waitomo district excluding the gas franchise areas of Hamilton City Council and the Huntly Borough Council.

Local Government Act 1974

Consent to an Increase of Annual Fee

Pursuant to section 610 of the Local Government Act 1974, I, Michael Edward Ralnton Bassett, Minister of Local Government for the time being, hereby consent that the annual uniform fee payable by the occupier of each dwelling unit within the Clutha Valley Community Centre area be increased from the present maximum of $20.00 per annum to $30.00 per annum, exclusive of GST.

Queen Elizabeth the Second Arts Council of New Zealand Act 1974

Appointments to the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council, Regional Arts Councils and the Council for Maori and South Pacific Arts

Pursuant to sections 27 (2) (b) and 29 (5) of the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council of New Zealand Act 1974 as amended by the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council of New Zealand Amendment Act 1978, the Minister of Arts and Culture has made the following appointments:

Professor Eric Herd of Dunedin to be a member of the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council for a further term of office expiring 31 March 1992.

Esmae Farrington of Wellington to be a member of the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council for a term of office expiring 31 March 1992.

Sandy Adsett of Gisborne to be a member of the Council for Maori and South Pacific Arts for a term of office expiring 31 March 1992.

Ranui Ngarimu of Otira to be a member of the Council for Maori and South Pacific Arts for a term of office expiring 31 March 1992.

Ross Gregory of Kaitaia to be a member of the Northern Regional Arts Council for a further term of office expiring 31 March 1992.

Ngapine Allen of Palmerston North to be a member of the Central Regional Arts Council for a term of office expiring 31 March 1992.

Catherine Brown of Christchurch to be a member of the Southern Regional Arts Council for a term of office expiring 31 March 1992.
