Correspondence School Board of Trustees Notice 1989

Pursuant to section 6 (1) (b) and section 11 (10) of the School Trustees Act 1989, the Minister of Education gives the following notice:

Notice

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Correspondence School Board of Trustees Notice 1989.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  1. The Correspondence School Board of Trustees shall be constituted as follows:

(a) the principal of the Correspondence School;

(b) six (6) parent representatives elected by and from parents of full-time students enrolled at the Correspondence School and attending no other school;

(c) two (2) staff representatives elected by and from the staff of the Correspondence School;

(d) one (1) student representative elected by and from the full-time students enrolled in form 4 and above of the Correspondence School;

(e) five (5) members, co-opted by the Board itself comprising:

  • one (1) co-opted member who in the Board’s opinion has experience in the early childhood education sector;

  • one (1) co-opted member who in the Board’s opinion has experience in the needs of children requiring special education sector;

  • one (1) co-opted member who in the Board’s opinion has experience in the primary education sector;

  • one (1) co-opted member who in the Board’s opinion has experience in the secondary education sector; and

  • one (1) co-opted member who in the Board’s opinion has experience in the adult education sector.

  1. The terms of office of elected appointed and ex-officio members shall commence on the 10th day of August 1989 and shall cease on that day in May 1992 preceding the day on which the newly appointed board holds its annual meeting as required by the School Trustees Act 1989.

  2. Co-opted trustees shall serve a term of office not exceeding 3 years as specified by the board.

  3. Any member of the board may be re-appointed or re-elected, for further terms of office.

  4. Casual vacancies shall be filled in accordance with the School Trustees Act 1989.

  5. The first election of the parent, staff and student representatives shall be held on Saturday, 8 July 1989.

  6. The Board of Trustees shall hold its first meeting on Thursday, 10 August 1989.

Hospitals Schools Boards of Trustees Notice 1989

Pursuant to section 6 (1) (b) and section 11 (10) of the School Trustees Act 1989, the Minister of Education gives the following notice:

Notice

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Hospitals Schools Boards of Trustees Notice 1989.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  1. The Hospitals Schools listed in the Schedule to this notice shall each have Boards of Trustees constituted as follows:
  • the head teacher of the school facility in the hospital;

  • two (2) representatives appointed by the appropriate area Health Board or Hospital Board;

  • one (1) staff member (except when the head teacher is the only staff member) elected by and from the staff of the school facility in the Hospital;

  • up to five (5) persons appointed by the Minister of Education as the Minister considers appropriate;

  • up to four (4) members co-opted by the board itself.

Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976

Specification Declared Suitable

Pursuant to the provisions of regulation 18 (3) of the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, the following specification is declared suitable for the purposes of these regulations.

Australian Standard

AS 2381.10 - 1989

Electrical equipment for explosive atmospheres—selection, installation and maintenance.

Part 10: Equipment in combustible dust (class II) areas.

Compliance with a declared standard specification shall not preclude the need to comply with the requirements of the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976.
