Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, I, The Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, the Governor-General of New Zealand declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be taken for flood protection purposes and to vest in The Otago Catchment Board on the 14th day after the date of the publication of this Proclamation in the Gazette.
