Bylaw Fixing the Maximum Speed of Vehicles on State Highway No. 88 at St Leonards, Dunedin
Pursuant to section 72 (1) (j) of the Transport Act 1962 and section 13 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board makes the following bylaw.
BYLAW
-
This bylaw may be cited as National Roads Board Bylaw 1989/1.
-
This bylaw shall come into force on the 23rd day of February 1989.
-
In this bylaw “motor vehicle” has the meaning assigned to it in section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.
-
No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 80 kilometres an hour on that part of State Highway No. 88 (Dunedin-Port Chalmers) from Ruru Avenue extension to a point opposite the main entrance to the St Leonards Railway Station.

Every person who commits an offence against this bylaw is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $500.00.
This bylaw was made by resolution duly passed at a meeting of the National Roads Board held in Wellington on the 15th day of February 1989.
