Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is held for conservation purposes and is to be known as Rainbow Forest.

Reserves Act 1977
Declaration that Land is a Reserve
Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Deputy Director-General, Department of Conservation, hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Tauranga City Council on the 26th day of September 1988.
“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Tauranga City Council hereby resolves that the pieces of land held by the said city in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same are hereby declared to be recreation reserve within the meaning of the said Act”.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Reserves Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised
Pursuant to section 24 of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Deputy Director-General, Department of Conservation hereby revokes the reservation as recreation reserves, over the land, described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Tauranga City Council in such manner, at such price and on such terms and conditions as the Council shall determine, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s Reserves Account, such moneys to be used and applied either towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the Council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.
