Relinquishments

The following officers have relinquished their appointments as Unit Commander from the units listed with effect from dates shown:

Squadron Leader G. A. Church relinquishes his appointment as Unit Commander No. 47 (Hawera) Squadron with effect from 3 May 1988.
Flight Lieutenant S. E. Mansell relinquishes his appointment as Unit Commander No. 37 (Thames) Squadron with effect from 1 May 1988.

Reactivation

Cadet Force Commissions are reactivated for the following officers:

Flight Lieutenant H. J. Wall with seniority 12 May 1987 and effect from 12 December 1987.

Compulsory Retirements

The following officers are compulsorily retired from Cadet Forces and are discharged with effect from dates shown:

Transfer To/From Supernumerary List

Pilot Officer N. E. Brensell is transferred to the Supernumerary List with effect from 21 June 1988.
Pilot Officer H. D. Morgan is transferred to the Supernumerary List with effect from 18 July 1988.
Pilot Officer R. A. Smith is transferred to the Supernumerary List with effect from 29 June 1988.
Pilot Officer J. C. Tohill is transferred to the Supernumerary List with effect from 1 January 1989.
Flying Officer K. M. O'Shannessy is transferred from the Supernumerary List to No. 27 (Blenheim) ATC Squadron with effect from 16 June 1988.
Pilot Officer M. J. Holten is transferred to the Supernumerary List from No. 44 (Paeroa) ATC Squadron with effect from 1 November 1988.

Award of Cadet Force Medal/Clasp

The following officers are awarded Cadet Force Medals or Clasps with effect from dates shown:

Squadron Leader C. J. Stratton is awarded Cadet Force Clasp with effect from 22 May 1988.
Lieutenant C. G. O'Brien is awarded Cadet Force Medal with effect from 29 July 1988.
Squadron Leader J. I. Harris is awarded Cadet Force Medal with effect from 14 October 1987.

Education Act 1964

The John McGlashan College Board of Governors Notice

Pursuant to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the John McGlashan College, Dunedin, Board of Governors Notice 1989.
    (b) This notice shall come into effect on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  2. The Board of Governors of John McGlashan College, Dunedin shall be constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Otago Education Board;
    (b) One member elected by the teachers of the school;
    (c) Five members elected by the parents of pupils attending the school.
    (d) Four members appointed by the proprietor of the school.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Private Schools Conditional Integration

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that an integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education and the proprietors of the following secondary school:

John McGlashan College, 2 Pilkington Street, Maori Hill, Dunedin.

The said school will enter into the State education system in accordance with the provisions of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, with effect from 30 January 1989.

Copies of the integration agreement are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the Department of Education, Head Office, National Mutual Building, Featherston Street, Wellington and at regional offices.

Pursuant to sections 11 and 12 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is hereby given that the Minister of Education disestablishes and closes St Edmund's School, South Dunedin, Moreau College and St Kevin's College.
