  1. Approval of an executive committee of the trustees to manage the home. The present set up of management by all twenty (20) trustees being unwieldy.

  2. Enlarging the classes of children able to be helped by the home.

  3. Modernising some of the rules which relate to the upbringing of the children in the home.

  4. Enlarging the powers of the trustees to provide for powers to invest surplus moneys, to borrow and mortgage, and to otherwise spend surplus income.

  5. To change the name of the home to the Margaret Watt Childrens’ Home.

The full details of the application to the Court, the scheme, and the report of the Attorney-General on the scheme can be inspected by the public free of charge at the office of the High Court, Courthouse, Wanganui or at the offices of Messrs Treadwell Gordon & Co., Solicitors, Suite 8, Wicksteed Terrace, Wanganui (the solicitors to the trustees).
