Notice of Guarantee Given Pursuant to Section 59 (1) of the Public Finance Act 1989—Drought Rehabilitation Loan Scheme

Pursuant to section 59 (2) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:

In September 1989 I, David Francis Caygill, Minister of Finance, gave a guarantee pursuant to section 59 (1) of the Public Finance Act 1989 to the financial institutions set out below in respect of the borrowings of certain South Island farmers who have suffered the effects of drought. The guarantee is given in respect of up to $36,000 of the borrowings of each eligible farmer for a period of 4 years from the date upon which the loan was made where an application for a loan has been made on or before 30 June 1990 and where notification has been received by the Crown not later than 31 August 1990.

International Air Services Licensing Act 1947

Notice of Intention to Amend an International Air Service Licence

Notice is hereby given that I intend to exercise the power conferred on me by section 14 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, to amend the terms of the International Air Service Licence issued to Air New Zealand Limited to provide for the operation of services by the airline to Adelaide from points in New Zealand via separate routes.

This amendment will take effect on the 14th day of December 1989.

Wool Test Certification

This “Direction on Wool Test Certification” is made by the New Zealand Wool Board (the “Board”) pursuant to its authority contained in section 21 (1) of the Wool Industry Act 1977. Notice of this direction is being given as required by section 21 (5) of that Act. The direction may be amended from time to time. Any such amendments will be published in this Gazette or as otherwise provided by section 21.

The Board has considered various requests from the National Council of New Zealand Wool Interests Incorporated and the New Zealand Council of Wool Exporters Incorporated to have put in place a system of compulsory registration of New Zealand Wool Testing Laboratories which provide certified results/test certificates used in the sale transactions of parcels of raw wool.

For the purposes of this direction raw wool is defined as: greasy wool; wool which has been scoured, carbonised, washed or solvent degreased; scoured skin wools; washed skin wools; and slip wools. It consists of wool fibre together with...
