Proposed Cancellation of Registration of Employers Organisation for Failure to Make Annual Return
Pursuant to section 32 (2) of the Labour Relations Act 1987, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Auckland Tanners’ Industrial Union of Employers, registered No. 1509, situated at Auckland, will be cancelled on the expiration of 30 days from the day after the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless a full and correct return in accordance with section 52 of this Act is delivered to the Registrar.

Traffic Regulations 1976
Approval of Brake Testing Instruments
Pursuant to regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, the Secretary for Transport, hereby approves, for the purposes of subclause (5) of regulation 68 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, the brake testing instruments of the models and type described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the conditions of approval set out in the said Schedule.
Schedule
-
T1-Crypton roller brake tester models 630, 660, manufactured by T1 Crypton Ltd., England.
-
BANZAI roller brake tester model BBT51S manufactured by BANZAI—Japan.
-
ANZEN roller brake tester model BS52FL manufactured by ANZEN Motor Co. Ltd., Japan.
Conditions of Approval
In accordance with regulation 85 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, the above brake test equipment is approved subject to the following conditions:

That it is supplied with an accurate means of computing stopping distances (as required by regulation 68 of the Traffic Regulations 1976) from the indicated machine readings.
-
That brake efficiency readings on the machine have the facility to automatically hold the highest reading of efficiency.
-
That access to the brake test equipment be given to a person (authorised by the Secretary of Transport) to check on the accuracy for compliance purposes as required.

Approval of Defensive Driving Organisations
Pursuant to section 48 (2) (a) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and to section 39 (a) of the Transport Act 1962; and pursuant to a delegation given by the Secretary for Transport in an instrument dated the 2nd day of November 1987; I, Geoffrey Thomas Henry, Assistant Director of Road Transport, hereby approve the following organisations to be defensive driving organisations for the purposes of section 68 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 32 (2) of the Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulations 1987:

And I hereby revoke the previous notice:
