Reservation of Land

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Conservation with the consent of the Minister of Lands, hereby sets apart the land, described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the Reserves Act 1977.

Westland Land District—Westland County—Hokitika Gorge Scenic Reserve

2.5200 hectares, more or less, being Rural Section 6694, situated in Block V, Taoroa Survey District, S.O. Plan 11053.

5.1900 hectares, more or less, being Rural Section 6695, situated in Block V, Taoroa Survey District, S.O. Plan 11053.

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Conservation, with the consent of the Minister of Lands, hereby sets apart the land, described in the Schedule hereto, as a reserve for scenic purposes, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (b) of the Reserves Act 1977.

10.8576 hectares, more or less, being part Tauhara Middle No. 10 Block, located on N.Z.M.S. 261, U18 Sheet 2.3. Parts certificates of title 9/71, 458/39, 9D/189, M.L. Plan 21687. Subject to easement created by New Zealand Gazette, 1928, page 2895 (Proc. 7393).

Adding Land to Mount Aspiring National Park

Pursuant to section 7 of the National Parks Act 1980, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the 28th day after the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the Gazette, be national park subject to the National Parks Act 1980 and shall be added to and form part of the Mount Aspiring National Park.

Reserves Act 1977

Notice of Intention to Establish the Cook Landing Site National Reserve

In terms of section 13 (3) (a), Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Conservation notifies his intention to establish a National Reserve at the Cook Landing Site, Gisborne.

The reserve, which is part of the Gisborne Harbour, covers an area of 4606 square metres. It was Captain Cook’s first recorded landing site and the first direct contact between Maori and European.

Persons wishing to obtain more information on this proposal, submit a submission or objection, should do so in writing to the Regional Conservator, Department of Conservation, P.O. Box 668, Gisborne.

Submissions and objections must be received before 10 January 1990.

4604 square metres, more or less, being Sections 4 and 5, Block VII, Turanganui Survey District and part Lot 10, D.P. 2131, situated in the City of Gisborne. All certificate of title 1A/844, S.O. Plan 5277.

Declaration of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Auckland Regional Conservator, Department of Conservation, hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Mount Roskill Borough Council on the 4th day of July 1989:

‘That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves that the piece of land vested in the said Borough in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the reserve is hereby declared to be a reserve for recreation purposes within the meaning of the said Act.’

North Auckland Land District—Mount Roskill Borough

1.0230 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 66138, situated in Block VIII, Titirangi Survey District. All certificate of title 22D/84. Subject to an electricity easement created by transfer A. 81169.
