Notice

  1. Title—This notice may be cited as the Corporations (Investigation and Management) Appointment of Advisory Committee Notice (No. 2) 1989.

  2. Interpretation—In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires,—

“the Act” means the Corporations (Investigation and Management) Act 1989;

“the companies” means the companies which are subject to statutory management under the Act as a result of the making of the Corporations (Investigation and Management) Order (No. 4) 1989*.

  1. Appointment of advisory committee—(1) The following persons are hereby appointed as an advisory committee in relation to the statutory management of the companies:

Colin Ross Pidgeon of Auckland, Queen’s Counsel.

Peter James Mahoney of Auckland, Registered Valuer.

(2) Colin Ross Pidgeon of Auckland, Queen’s Counsel, is hereby appointed as chairperson of the advisory committee.

(3) The members of the advisory committee are appointed for a term of 1 year.

  1. Additional function of advisory committee—In addition to the function conferred on the advisory committee by section 60 (2) (a) of the Act, the advisory committee shall, in relation to the companies, also report to the Minister of Justice, at intervals of no longer than 3 months, on the exercise of its functions under the Act.

This notice appoints an advisory committee in relation to the statutory management of the companies in the Chase group that are subject to statutory management under the Corporations (Investigation and Management) Act 1989 as a result of the making of the Corporations (Investigation and Management) Order (No. 4) 1989.

District Courts Act 1947

Acting District Court Judge Appointed

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Bryan Osborne Nicholson resigned District Court Judge of Auckland

as an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction and to exercise the jurisdiction of the Children and Young Persons Courts, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix pursuant to the said section 10A for a term of 12 months on and from 1 October 1989.
