Vegetables Levy Amendment Bill
This Bill increases from .375 percent of the sale price to 1 percent of the sale price the maximum amount of the levy payable under the principal Act in respect of vegetables sold commercially otherwise than for processing or canning.
Submissions apart from clause 3 in respect of proposed new section 3 (4A) of the principal Act which deals with the fixing of a levy are invited from interested parties and organisations.

Pursuant to section 65 (1) of the Fisheries Act 1983, and delegations made pursuant to sections 28 and 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, the Director (Operations), MAFFish hereby gives the following notice:

- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Species and Area Prohibition) Notice 1989.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of October 1989.
- Interpretation—In this notice:
(a) Any reference to a Quota Management Area means the appropriate Quota Management Area as defined in the Fisheries (Quota) Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986;
(b) The words “New Zealand fisheries waters” have the meaning ascribed thereto in the Fisheries Act 1983.
- Restrictions on fishing—As from the date this notice comes into effect until the 30th day of September 1990 (hereinafter called “the period”), it shall be a condition of all fishing permits issued or renewed during the period that the holder of the permit is prohibited from fishing in the following fisheries:
