Adding Land to The Arthur’s Pass National Park

At Wellington this 17th day of July 1989

Present:

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 7 of the National Parks Act 1980, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land, described in the schedule hereto, shall, as from the 28th day after the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the Gazette, be added to and form part of the Arthur’s Pass National Park.

Westland Land District—Westland County

32.7435 hectares, more or less, being Section 1, S.O. 11300, situated in Blocks VII and XI, Otira Survey District. Conservation land by New Zealand Gazette, 1989, page 1958.

2.4658 hectares, more or less, being Lot 2, D.P. 2473, situated in Blocks VII and XI, Otira Survey District. All transfer 80611.5.

Reserves Act 1977

Classification and Naming of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Otago Regional Conservator, Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a recreation reserve, and further, declares that the said reserve shall hereafter be known as the Rastus Burn Recreation Reserve.

689.4626 hectares, more or less, being part Section 1, situated in Block X, Kawarau Survey District. S.O. Plan 19547. C.T. 8D/636 (Part).

10.5374 hectares, more or less, being Sections 1, and 2, S.O. Plan 22561, situated in Block X, Kawarau Survey District. C.T. 8D/636 (Part).

Declaration that Land is a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Manager (Canterbury), hereby notifies that in accordance with section 14 (4) of the Reserves Act 1977, the Heathcote County Council by a resolution dated 1 June 1989, declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be a recreation reserve within the meaning of the said Act.

3827 square metres, more or less, being Lot 3, D.P. 21139. All certificate of title 2C/1025. Subject to a condition as to buildings and hoardings in notice 520385 and sewer easement by T. 604335.

4078 square metres, more or less, being Rural Section 38196. All certificate of title 681/24. S.O. Plan 4808. Subject to a condition as to buildings and hoardings by notice 520385.

1626 square metres, more or less, being Rural Sections 871 and 872. All certificate of title 411/45. Application Plan 10856.7. Subject to a condition as to buildings and hoardings in notice 520385.

All contained in Block XVI, Christchurch Survey District.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Director Resource Use and Recreation Policy, Department of Conservation hereby revokes the reservation as a recreation reserve over the land, described in the Schedule hereto.
