Transport Act 1962 (Section 140)

To: Sam Douglas Te Kita (referred to below as “the licensee”)

And to: The Secretary for Transport, Wellington.

Take notice that pursuant to section 140 of the Transport Act 1962 the Licensing Authority for No. 5A Transport District will hold a public inquiry into the operation of Taxi Service Licence No. 96061.

The reason why the inquiry is to be conducted is that the Licensing Authority wishes to determine:

(a) Whether or not the licensee meets the criteria set out in section 124 of the Transport Act 1962, and

(b) Whether or not the licensee has failed to comply with any term or condition of the licence.

The Public Inquiry will be held on Tuesday, 29 August 1989 at 3 p.m., Committee Room, City Council, Fitzherbert Street, Gisborne.

The licensee and the Secretary of Transport are entitled to appear and to be heard at the Public Inquiry and may be represented by counsel. If, however you fail to appear, the public inquiry may proceed in your absence. Any further information regarding the inquiry may be obtained from the undersigned.
