Reserves Act 1977

Trustees of Timaru Racecourse Appointed

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the District Conservator, Rangitata District, hereby appoints:

Eric Mervyn Giles and Peter Duncan White to be members of the Board of Trustees constituted under the Timaru Racecourse Reserve Act 1883 in place of Edward John Richards, resigned, and William James Norman Dobbs, resigned.

Dated at Timaru this 1st day of July 1989.

Trustees of Waimate Racecourse Appointed

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the District Conservator, Rangitata District, hereby appoints:

Walter Paul Engelbrecht to be a member of the Board of Trustees, constituted under the Waimate Racecourse Reserve Act 1881 in place of Michael George Neill Rattray, resigned.

Education Act 1964

Notice Changing Name of Parumoana Community Polytechnic

Pursuant to section 69 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education gives the following notice:

N o t i c e

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Parumoana Community Polytechnic change of name to Whitireia Community Polytechnic notice.

    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  2. The name of Parumoana Community College, constituted by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette on 8 August 1985, varied by notice changing the name to Parumoana Community Polytechnic published in the New Zealand Gazette, on 16 October 1986, is hereby further varied to Whitireia Community Polytechnic.

The Waikato Polytechnic Amendment Notice 1989

Pursuant to section 69 of the Education Act 1964, the Associate Minister of Education as a member of the Executive Council of New Zealand hereby gives the following notice:

N o t i c e

  1. (1) The notice shall be cited as the Waikato Polytechnic Amendment Notice 1989 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Waikato Polytechnic Notice 1986.

    (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice.)

    (2) This notice shall come into force on the day of its publication in the Gazette.

  2. Clause 3 of the principal notice is hereby amended by revoking paragraph (e) and substituting the following paragraph:

    (e) One member to be appointed by the Waikato District Council of the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions. This appointee shall be a person, who has a working background in industry and the trade union movement, and who can give guidance on the non-educational industrial side of the training work of polytechnics.

  3. Clause 3 of the principal notice is hereby amended by revoking paragraph (f) and substituting the following paragraph:

    (f) One member, who shall be resident in the region serviced by the institute to be appointed by the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions. This appointee shall be a person, who has a working background in industry and the trade union movement, and who can give guidance on the non-educational industrial side of the training work of polytechnics.

  4. Clause 3 of the principal notice is hereby amended by revoking subparagraph (ii) of clause 3 (l).

  5. Clause 3 of the principal notice is hereby amended by revoking paragraph (p) and substituting the following paragraph:

    (p) One member appointed by the Waikato King Country Region of the New Zealand Nurses Association.

  6. Clause 3 of the principal notice is hereby amended
