Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a family marae, housing and recreational and the preservation of the whare wananga and former burial sites for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Samuel William Prime and Erana Prime.

In the notice with the above heading dated 26th August 1988 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 15 September 1988, No. 157 at page 3688, for the description “Part Kawhia M2H Section 2F, Block II, Karewa Maori Township” read “Part Kawhia M2H, Section 27 Block II, Karewa Maori Township” which description appears in the original notice signed on behalf of the Deputy Secretary for Maori Affairs.
