Mining Act 1971
Notice of Surrender of Mining Privilege Held by or on Behalf of the Crown
Pursuant to the provisions of section 132 (3) of the Mining Act 1971, the Minister of Energy hereby declares prospecting licence 31 428 held by the Secretary of Mines, Wellington (on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen) to be surrendered. The land which was subject to the said licence is described in the Schedule hereto.

All that area in the South Auckland Land District containing 1456.868831 hectares, more or less, situated in Blocks II, III and VI, Takapau Survey District commencing at a point being the southern corner of Section 13, Block VI, Takapau Survey District; thence westerly by a right line for a distance of 3.1 miles; thence westerly by a right line to the northwestern corner of Lot 1, D.P. 37198; thence south westerly and southerly generally along the north western and western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 37198 to and along a right line being the last mentioned boundary produced across Earle Road to its southern side; thence westerly and southerly along the southern side of Earle Road to and along the eastern side of Broadlands Road to a point in line with the north eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 26766; thence along a right line across Broadlands Road to and along the north eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 26766 aforesaid; to and southerly generally along the south eastern and eastern boundaries of the lands held for Water Power Development and described in New Zealand Gazettes 1967 page 1263, 1967 page 747 to a point due west of the southern corner of Section 13, Block VI, Takapau Survey District; thence due east along a right to the aforesaid southern corner of Section 13 being the point of commencement, excepting thereout all public roads.
The land comprised within the above boundaries being known as Lot 1, D.P. 37198, part Kaingaroa 2WI (D.P. 27103), part Sections 9 and 18, Block II, Takapau Survey District. Transfer of Unformed Legal Road in Blocks III, IV, V, Town of Kelso and Block I, Greenvale Survey District, Tuapeka County
Pursuant to section 323 of the Local Government Act 1974, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Deputy Acting Director-General of Lands hereby declares that the land, described in the Schedule hereto, has been transferred to the Crown by the Tuapeka County Council, pursuant to the said section 323, and on the publication of this notice the said land shall be deemed to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

Public Works Act 1981
Land Acquired in Hawke’s Bay County
Pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981 and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the District Solicitor, Department of Lands, Napier declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule is acquired for soil conservation and river control purposes, and shall vest in the Hawke’s Bay Catchment Board from the date of publication in the Gazette.
