Pursuant to section 13 of the Reserves Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares the historic reserve described in the Schedule hereto, to be a National Reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

J. M. Barker (Hapupu) Historic Reserve

Classification of Reserve and Vesting in the Timaru City Council
Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Manager hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, as a recreation reserve, and vests the said reserve in The Timaru City Council in trust for that purpose.

Wildlife Act 1953
Amending a Proclamation Declaring Land in the South Auckland Land District a Wildlife Refuge in the Auckland Acclimatisation District

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, The Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, the Governor General of New Zealand, hereby amend the Proclamation dated the 29th day of November 1961 declaring land in the South Auckland Land District a Wildlife Refuge and appearing in the New Zealand Gazette, 1961, page 1914 by omitting the Schedule thereto and substituting the Schedule hereto.
Schedule
All that area in the South Auckland Land District—Waikato County situated in N.Z.M.S. 260 S13, bounded by a line commencing at a point on Lake Waikare, on a magnetic bearing 160° and 600 metres south of Trig South 675 Te Kauwhata and proceeding on magnetic bearings 160° for 2000 metres, 70° for 2500 metres, 325° for 2850 metres and 225° for 2000 metres to the point of commencement.
As the same is more particularly delineated on Plan WIL 34/3/9 deposited in the Central Office of the Department of Conservation at Wellington and thereon bordered red.
Given under the Hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 16th day of May 1988.
