to be members of the New Zealand Ports Authority for a term of 3 years from 14 December 1987.

Transport Act 1962

Public Inquiry

To: Mr Errol Patrick Shearman (referred to below as "the licensee"), and to: The Secretary for Transport, Wellington.

Take notice that, pursuant to section 140 of the Transport Act 1962, the Licensing Authority for the No. 7 Transport District will hold a public inquiry into the operation of Taxi Service Licence No. 14982.

The reason why the Inquiry is to be conducted is that the licensing authority wishes to determine on stated grounds:

(a) Whether or not the licensee meets the criteria set out in section 124 of the Transport Act 1962; and

(b) Whether or not the licensee has failed to comply with any term or condition of the licence.

The public inquiry will be held on Tuesday, 16 February 1988 at 3 p.m. in the Ministry of Transport Office, Oxford Street, Levin.

The licensee and the Secretary for Transport are entitled to appear and to be heard at the public inquiry and may be represented by a lawyer or other agent. Any further information regarding the inquiry may be obtained from the undersigned.
