Local Authorities Loans Act 1956

Matamata County Council—Notice of Result of Poll on Loan Proposal

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the electors of the Waharoa Community District taken on the 25th day of February 1988 on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $300,000 to be known as the

Waharoa Sewerage Scheme Loan, 1987 for the purpose of providing a sanitary sewerage system within the Waharoa Community District resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was: 34

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was: 149

The number of informal votes was: 2

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
