Local Government Act 1974
Transfer of Unformed Legal Road in Block III, Halswell Survey District, Paparua County
Pursuant to section 323 of the Local Government Act 1974, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Director-General of Lands hereby declares that the land, described in the Schedule hereto, has been transferred to the Crown by the Paparua County Council, pursuant to the said section 323, and on the publication of this notice the said land shall be deemed to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

6252 square metres, more or less, being all those parcels of road situated in Block III, Halswell Survey District, shown marked A and B on S.O. Plan 16924.

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of an urupa for the common use and benefit of Ngatihou Iwi.

Redefining Purposes of Maori Reservation
Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 439 (5) (c) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the purpose for which the Maori reservation was, in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto, created by an Order in Council in the New Zealand Gazette, on 2 November 1961, No. 70, page 1690, is hereby redefined as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae for the common use and benefit of the descendants of the persons who were the owners of the land immediately before it was constituted as a Maori reservation.
