Confiscation of a Motorcycle

Pursuant to section 84 of the Criminal Justice Act 1985, an order was made against Richard James Austin of 2 Victoria Avenue, Dannevirke, for the confiscation of the following motorcycle:

Suzuki GS450 motorcycle, Registered No. 80 JJW.

The vehicle to be surrendered to the Registrar, District Court, Dannevirke by 3 p.m. on 11 February 1988.

District Courts Act 1947

Acting District Court Judge Appointed

Pursuant to section 5 of the District Courts Act 1947, section 21 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1974, and section 5 (1) of the Family Courts Act 1980, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Peter Francis Bosher, barrister and solicitor of Wellington to be an acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand, the jurisdiction of the Children and Young Persons Court and the jurisdiction of the Family Courts for a term of 6 months on and from 14 December 1987.

Pursuant to the Marriage Act 1955, the Registrar-General of Marriages, hereby gives notice as follows:

  2. The organisation specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be an approved organisation for the purpose of the Marriage Act 1955.

Sale of Liquor Act 1962

Order Varying the Hours for the Sale of Liquor—Jolly Farmer Inn, Auckland

Pursuant to sections 221A and 221B of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, and an application made in that behalf by Lion Corporation Ltd., being the holder of a tavernkeepers licence in force in respect of the premises situated at Great South Road, Drury and known as Ye Jolly Farmer Inn, the Auckland Licensing Committee hereby orders that the hours of opening and closing of the said premises be fixed as detailed hereunder:

On days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

  1. Mondays to Thursdays inclusive: To stay at the usual hours of opening and closing namely, opening 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

  2. On Fridays and Saturdays and on Christmas Eve: The opening of the premises at the usual hour of 11 o’clock in the morning and the closing of the premises at 11 o’clock in the evening.

  3. On New Year’s Eve: The opening of the premises at the usual hour of 11 o’clock in the morning and the closing of the premises at 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

Under the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, and in the matter of an application by The Brighton Club (Incorporated) for the variation of usual hours for the sale of liquor, pursuant to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962:

Pursuant to an application by the Brighton Club (Incorporated), a duly incorporated society having its registered office at Brighton and being the holder of a club charter, it is hereby ordered that the hours for closing of club’s premises at 325 Main Road, Brighton for the sale and supply of liquor for consumption on the premises in any week are varied to the following times:

Friday in each week, 11 p.m.

Saturday in each week, 11 p.m.

Christmas Eve, 11 p.m.

New Year’s Day, 00.30 a.m.
