An Easement Acquired for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes in Block IV, Te Mata Survey District, Hawke’s Bay County

Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Works and Development declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the following easement in gross is acquired for soil conservation and river control purposes (and may be surrendered at any time by notice in the Gazette) vesting in the Hawke’s Bay Catchment Board (called the grantee) on the 18th day of February 1988, a right of way over the land described in the Schedule hereto, such grant being in accordance with paragraph 1 of the Seventh Schedule of the Land Transfer Act 1952 together with the right of the grantee to prohibit the planting of trees and crops or the erecting of any buildings on the right of way and subject to the grantee being responsible for any maintenance or damage caused in respect of its activities on the right of way.
