Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Tokoroa Rural Fire District Order 1948, Amendment No. 10 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the order constituting the Tokoroa Rural Fire District Order made on the 17th day of November 1948 * (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

(2) This order shall come into force on the 28th day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. (1) The Schedule to the principal order is hereby amended by omitting the Schedule thereto and substituting the Schedule to this order.

(2) The Tokoroa Rural Fire District Order 1948, Amendment No. 8 is hereby consequentially revoked.

"Schedule

South Auckland Land District—Tokoroa Rural Fire District

All those areas in the South Auckland Land District, and Matamata County, Otorohanga and Rotorua Districts and Taumarunui and Taupo Counties containing approximately 116,000 hectares of plantation forest and described generally as follows:

"Firstly": All that area situated in Patetere North, Patetere Northeast, Rotorua, Wharepapa, Patetere South, Horohoro West, Horohoro, Ngautuku, Ranginui, Whakamaru, Atiamuri, Ngongotaha, Tuhingamata West, Tuhingamata East and Tatua Survey Districts, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the easternmost corner of part Kokako Block, in Block XVI, Patetere North Survey District, and proceeding thence north-westerly along the northeastern boundary of that block to the southeastern boundary of Lot 3, DP 32267, thence northeasterly along that boundary and its production to the centre line of Te Whetu Road, thence generally northwesterly along the centre lines of Te Whetu and Ngatira Roads to the right bank of the Oraka Stream, thence generally northwesterly along that bank to a point in line with the southeastern boundary of Lot 9, DP 19039, in Block XI, Patetere North Survey District, thence southwesterly to and along that boundary and its production to the centre line of Pinedale Loop Road, thence generally northwesterly and northeasterly along the centre lines of Pinedale Loop Road, State Highway No. 1, Domain Road, the Rotorua Branch Railway, to a point opposite the northwestern boundary of Lot 2 DPS 44106 Block XI Patetere North Survey District, thence northeasterly to and along the northwestern boundary of Pt Section 2 Block XII Patetere North Survey District, to its intersection with Section 18, Block VIII Patetere North Survey District, thence northwesterly along the western boundaries of Section 18 and 19 and the production thereof to the right bank of the Waihou River, thence generally northwesterly along that bank to a point in line with the northwestern boundary of Section 8, Block VIII, Patetere North Survey District, thence northeasterly to and along that boundary and its production to the centreline of Leslie Road, thence easterly along that centre line to a point in line with the southeastern boundary of Lot 2, DP 29456 in Block VII, Patetere North Survey District, thence northeasterly to and along that boundary to the southwestern boundary of Whaiti Kuranui 2A2B5B Block, thence southeasterly along that boundary to and southeasterly, northeasterly and northwesterly along the southwestern, southeastern and northeastern boundaries of Whaiti Kuranui 2A2B5A Block, to the westernmost corner of Whaiti Kuranui 2E2 West 4D2A Block, thence northeasterly along the northwestern boundaries of Whaiti Kuranui 2E2 West 4D2A, part 2E2 West 4, 2E2 West 4B and part 2C Blocks and part Lot 1, DP 654 and the last mentioned boundary produced to the centre line of State Highway No 5 in Block IV, Patetere North Survey District thence generally southeasterly along that centre line to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 7, Block IX, Rotorua Survey District, thence southerly to and along that boundary and the western boundaries of Sections 4, part 3, 3C and 3A, Block IX aforesaid, and their production to the centreline of Clinkard Road, thence generally southeasterly along that centre line to a point in line with the western boundaries of parts Section 2, Block XIII, Rotorua Survey District, thence southerly to and along those boundaries and their production to the centreline of the Rotorua Branch Railway, thence easterly along that centreline to a point in line with the eastern side of Bayley Road (unformed), thence southerly to and along that roadside to the southern boundary of Section 16A, Block XIII, Rotorua Survey District, thence easterly along that boundary to the western boundary of Section 1, Block I, Horohoro Survey District, thence southerly along that boundary and its production to the left bank of the Mangakotahi Stream, thence generally southeasterly along that bank to the western boundary of Section 8, Block II, Rotorua Survey District thence southerly along that boundary and its production across Cochrane Road to the eastern boundary of Section 5, Block I, Horohoro Survey District, thence southerly along that boundary to and thence easterly along the northern boundary of the said Section 5 to and thence along the northern boundary of Section 9, Block II, Horohoro Survey District, and its production to the centre line of South Road thence southerly along that centreline to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 10, Block II aforesaid, thence easterly to and along that boundary to the western boundary of Rotohokahoka D South 15 Block, thence southeasterly along that boundary to, and thence northeasterly along, the southeastern boundaries of Rotohokahoka D South 15 and part D South 16 Blocks to the centreline of Aorangi Road, thence generally southeasterly and southwesterly along the centreline of Aorangi Road and Great West Road to a point in line with the western boundary of Kaitao Rotohokahoka 3A4 Block, thence southeasterly to along the southwestern boundaries of Kaitao Rotohokahoka 3A4 and 3A5 Blocks to the northwestern boundary of Horohoro 2A Block, thence southwesterly along the northwestern boundaries of Horohoro 2A Block, Rotomahana Parekarangi part 1C3, part 1C6, part 1C7, part 1C8, part 1C9, part 1C14, part 1C12, part 1C11, part 1C13 Blocks, Te Rimu Horohoro Block, Horohoro Block and Rotomahana Parekarangi 1A Block to the southwestern boundary of the last mentioned block, thence southeasterly and generally southerly along that boundary and the generally northeastern and eastern boundaries of Sections 37 and 36, Block XIV, Horohoro Survey District, Lot 2, DPS 15314, and the production of the last mentioned boundary to the right bank of Rahopakapaka Stream, thence generally southerly along that bank and the"
