Transport Licensing Sitting

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962 as amended by the Transport Amendment Act No. 2, 1983, the No. 6 Transport District Licensing Authority (W. O'Brien), gives notice of the receipt of the following applications and will hold a public sitting for the purpose of hearing submissions in writing or presented in person for or against the granting of them in the No. 2 Courtroom, Market Place, Wanganui, commencing on Wednesday, 21 December 1988 at 11.30 a.m.

Applicants must be present or represented. All documents for alteration must be handed in at the sitting.

The Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 1, 1988

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Came Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 1, 1988.

The road specified in the Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

So much of the Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 2, 1986, signed on the 4th day of July 1986*, which relates to the road in the Schedule below, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is revoked.

Situated within the Urban Division of Rotorua District at Rotorua:

Pukehangi Road: from Clayton Road to a point 200 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from Malfroy Road.

Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986

Approval of Defensive Driving Organisations

Pursuant to section 48 (2) (a) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and to section 39 (a) of the Transport Act 1962; and pursuant to a delegation given by the Secretary for Transport in an instrument dated the 2nd day of November 1987; I, Timothy John Sanger, General Manager Land Transport, hereby approve the following organisations to be defensive driving organisations for the purposes of section 68 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 32 (2) of the Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulations 1987.
