Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Conservation, hereby revokes the appointment of the Mount Lees Reserve Board as published in Gazette, No. 103, 19 December 1972, page 2824 and Gazette, No. 39, 24 March 1983, page 853.

Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order

1. (1) This order may be cited as the Esk Rural Fire District Order 1963, Amendment No. 4.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 28th day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. (1) The order constituting the Esk Rural Fire District made on the 11th day of November 1963 (a) (hereinafter, in this clause, together with all amendments thereto, referred to as the principal order) is hereby amended by revoking clause 10 of the principal order, and substituting the following clause:

"MEMBERS

"The committee shall consist of 8 members as follows:

(a) Three persons appointed by New Zealand Timberlands Ltd., by writing signed on behalf of that company by 1 director and 1 secretary thereto;

(b) Three persons appointed by Carter Holt Harvey Forests Ltd., by writing signed on behalf of that company by 1 director and 1 secretary thereto;

(c) One representative of the Hawke’s Bay County Council; and

(d) One person appointed by the Director-General of Conservation".

(2) This clause shall be read together and be deemed part of the principal order.

3. The First Schedule to the principal order is hereby amended by omitting the Schedule thereto and substituting the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this order.

Hawke’s Bay Land District—Esk Rural Fire District

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay County, situated in Blocks V, VI, VII, IX, X, XI, XIII, XIV and XV, Maungaharuru Survey District, Block XVI, Pohue Survey District, Block IV, Patoka Survey District, and Blocks I, II, III, V and VI, Puketapu Survey District, and bounded generally as follows:

Commencing at the junction of the Otakohaia Stream with the Esk River in Block III, Puketapu Survey District; thence generally in a westerly direction along the true right bank of the Otakohaia Stream to a point opposite the south-eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 9221, Rural Sections Taupo Road, Block II, Puketapu Survey District; thence generally in a south to south-westerly direction by a right line across Lot 1 and Part Lot 2, D.P. 10670, Block II, Puketapu Survey District to the intersection of the No. 5 State Highway and the north-western corner of Part Lot 1, D.P. 1160, Block II, Puketapu Survey District; thence in a right line across No. 5 State Highway to its western boundary and follow this boundary generally in a southerly direction to the north-eastern corner of Lot 1, D.P. 1536, Block II, Puketapu Survey District; thence west and south to the south-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 1536; thence generally in a south-westerly direction by a right line across Part Lot 1, D.P. 1160, to the south-eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 11920 being within Block V, Puketapu Survey District; thence generally in a westerly direction along the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 11920 to its junction with an un-named stream; thence in a south-westerly direction along the true left bank of the un-named stream to its junction with Peninsula Stream, being within Block V, Puketapu Survey District; thence generally in a south-westerly direction along the true left bank of Peninsula Stream to its junction with the Mangaone River; thence generally in a north to north-westerly direction along the true right bank of the Mangaone River to its junction with Waterfall and Kings Streams; thence in a northerly and westerly direction along the true right bank of Waterfall Stream to a point on the northern boundary of Section 15, Block XVI, Pohue Survey District; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of Section 15, aforesaid, to the Richmond Road (locally known as Te Waka Road); thence generally in a northerly direction along the western side of the Richmond Road; thence by a right line across the Richmond Road and along the western boundary of Section 3, Block XVI, Pohue Survey District, to the north-western corner of Section 3, aforesaid; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of Section 3, aforesaid, and Section 2, Block XVI, Pohue Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of Section 2, aforesaid; thence in a north to north-easterly direction along the western boundaries of Rural Sections 59 and Part 58 to the north-western corner of Rural Section Part 58, Block XVI, Pohue Survey District; thence easterly along the northern boundary of Section 58, aforesaid, to the Richmond Road; thence generally in a northerly direction along the western side of the Richmond Road to its junction with the No. 5 State Highway, and along the western side of the aforesaid highway to a point opposite the western corner of Part Lot 1, D.P. 3831, Block IX, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence in a right line across the No. 5 State Highway; thence in a north-easterly direction through Trig Stations E No. 2 and Wakaateo No. 2 to the northernmost point of Part Lot 1, D.P. 3831, Block V, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence in an east to south-easterly direction to the easternmost point of the aforesaid Part Lot 1; thence by a right line to the southernmost point of Lot 2, D.P. 10842, Block X, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence in a north-easterly and then easterly direction to the western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 10842, Block VI, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence in generally northerly direction to the northernmost point of the aforesaid Lot 1; then in a north-easterly direction by a right
